butler

This week Butler's men's basketball head coach Brad Stevens agreed to a contract extension through 2021. This is huge for the school, the program, and the NCAA. Butler is an up and coming program that the NCAA needs. Many people root for the underdogs, because they are tired of the same programs dominating the tournament. Butler's success could give them the exposure they need to become a big time program and build a great tradition at the school. Stevens proved this season that he is a coach that can build a national powerhouse.

Butler will benefit greatly from the team's success. This exposure appeals to many recruits that want to make an impact and play at the highest level in college. The contract extension is also crucial. Recruits don't want to go to a school where they are not certain how long coaching staff will be there. Stevens has set himself up with an opportunity to turn Butler basketball into a perennial powerhouse in men's college basketball.
